Our Commitment to Privacy

Orion Healthcare Technology, Inc.'s Privacy Policy was developed as an extension of our commitment to combine the highest-quality products and services with the highest level of integrity. The Policy is designed to assist you in understanding how we collect, use and safeguard the information you provide to us. We are committed to maintaining our customer’s privacy and are providing this information to help you make informed decisions when using our products and services. Our Privacy Policy will be continuously assessed in light of new technologies, best practices in business ethics, and our customers' needs. Your information will not be sold to any third party entity at any time for any reason.

AccuCare Web PM System is accessed through any web site and may include associated media, printed materials, and “online” or electronic documentation including questions, images, icons and text incorporated into and/or accompanying the software (collectively, the “Software Product”). It is HIPAA ready, based on business associate agreement.

What Information Do We Collect?

When you visit a "" Web site we may obtain 3 types of information:

1. Personal Information You Choose to Provide

If you choose to inquire about products or services from us, you may be asked to give personal information and/or authorize us to obtain information about you from various credit services. For example, you may be asked to provide the following information:

  • Name
  • Mailing Address
  • Email Address
  • Home and business phone number
  • Other personal information (i.e. mother's maiden name)

2. Web Site Use Information

Our Web site utilizes both "cookies" (see explanation below, "What Are Cookies?") and Web server logs to collect information about how our Web site is used. This practice is usual and common with most commercial Web sites, and is used by us only for purposes of improving customer service. 3. Login Information Necessary to Access AccuCare Web System

This information is only used to direct the user to their designated AccuCare Web application through the Internet. No other information is used, collected, stored or viewed by anyone at any point unless authorized by the appropriate end user for technical support or database maintenance. These items are covered in your Business Associate Agreement.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are a feature of Web browser software (like Internet Explorer) that allows Web servers to recognize the client’s computer and to simplify and streamline subsequent interactions by the same user. Cookies contain small bits of data that are stored by a user’s Web browser on the user’s hard drive. This stored data makes it easier for an AccuCare user to move from page to page and to execute program commands faster. The goal of Cookies is to make your online experience easier and personalized to your needs.

How Do We Use Information We Collect From Cookies?

We use cookies to assist us in designing and updating our Web pages and AccuCare Web System, and in providing services of interest to you. Knowing how users navigate and implement our program allows us to continually improve our Web site to better meet the needs of our customers. We do not use cookies to capture your individual email address or any personally identifying information about you.

Notice Of New Services And Changes

Occasionally, we may also use the information we collect to notify you about important changes to our Web site, new services and special offers we think you will find valuable. As our client, you will be given the opportunity to notify us of your desire not to receive these offers by clicking on a response box when you receive such an offer or by sending us an email request at

How Do We Secure Information Transmissions?

SSL Encryption (Secure Socket Layer) - The Accucare Web System offers this protocol for the secure transmission of documents over the Internet. SSL uses a private key to encrypt data before its transfer. Many web sites use SSL to encrypt transmission of confidential user information, such as credit card numbers or personal health information (PHI).

How Do We Protect Your Information?

Information Security. We utilize encryption/security software to safeguard the confidentiality of personal information from unauthorized access or disclosure and accidental loss, alteration or destruction.

Evaluation of Information Protection Practices. Periodically, our operations and business practices are reviewed for compliance with corporate policies and procedures governing the security, confidentiality and quality of our information.

Employee Access, Training and Expectations. Our corporate values, ethical standards, policies and practices are committed to the protection of customer information. In general, our business practices limit employee access to confidential information, and limit the use and disclosure of such information to authorized persons, processes and transactions. Physical Location. and AccuCare Web System are a product of Orion Healthcare Technology. Orion's servers and data are located within a state-of-the-art data center in Omaha, NE. This facility is designed for security and safety, redundant power supplies, climate control and fire suppression systems, all monitored 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Only authorized personnel are allowed access to Orion's servers.

Network Infrastructure. The Web System consists of top-of-the-line routers and firewall products. These systems are constantly monitored and scanned to detect potential intrusion, security and virus vulnerabilities. Only Orion's employees have access to the internal network, and all machines are double password protected. One password is required to access console systems; the other password is for administrative control in the network operating system infrastructure. Employees never have access to client data unless authorized by the customer.

How Do We Backup Data?

Orion Healthcare Technology stores all customer data on Dell PowerEdge® servers, which are backed up to digital tapes every 6 hours. Tapes are transferred off-site for storage in a secure, environmentally controlled data archive facility.

Do We Disclose Information To Outside Parties?

No personally identifiable information is disclosed to outside parties at any time.

What About Other Web Sites Linked To

We are not responsible for the practices employed by Web sites linked to or from our Web site nor the information or content contained therein. Often links to other Web sites are provided solely as pointers to information on topics that may be useful to the users of our Web site.

Please remember that when you use a link to go from our Web site to another Web site, our Privacy Policy is no longer in effect. Your browsing and interaction on any other Web site, including Web sites which have a link on our Web site, is subject to that Web site’s own rules and policies.
