Assessments & Screening
AccuCare Assessments were built using the Addiction Severity Index (ASI) - the standard assessment tool for alcohol and other substances. Using this semi-structured biopsychosocial to assess your client’s current condition allows you to store all of your client’s information in one online secure database.
The ASI gathers information in seven unique life areas: medical, employment, drug/alcohol, legal, family history, family/social relationships and psychiatric. It also allows you to record your SASSI scores (used separately) and DSM-IV diagnosis codes, and provides a place for you to document your recommendations for treatment.
Multiple reports can be printed directly from AccuCare as soon as the assessment is completed, including a full 5-7 page narrative report, a court report, question and answer report and even the ASI composite scores.
In addition to the full assessment offered within AccuCare, over 13 additional questionnaires are also available. These standardized instruments allow you to identify additional areas for concern with the client’s mental health and substance use.
AccuCare enables clinicians to perform assessments using the ASI on four populations:
- Adult includes ASI Lite and Adult JCAHO
- Co-occurring Disorders – enhanced with a mental health status exam, and the JCAHO suggested questions
- Criminal Justice – customized for clients coming from incarceration or who are currently incarcerated
- Adolescents – customized for ages 12-18
AccuCare Assessments also works seamlessly with several other modules within AccuCare, including Patient Placement, Client Intake, Treatment Planning, Discharge Summaries, and more.<< Return to Features
